about

'Windrose' is the debut album from The Routes Quartet. Recorded live in St Columba's Chapel, Drimnin Estate on the Morvern peninsula. Routes write and arrange traditional music for two fiddles, viola and cello. The combination of string quartet ensemble with traditional players and music creates a stunning and unique sound with a folky, rootsy accent.

Gráinne Brady – fiddle
Tricia Mullan – fiddle
Emma Tomlinson – viola
Rufus Huggan – cello
